The Game Chat Thread
i'll quote shocker on this
Well, I thought it was about time we had a thread for general gaming. Somewhere where we can ask questions or just make a statement about a game without having to make a new thread. Use me for your gaming needs! "
that pretty sums it all up

Well completed Alan Wake today. It is confusing as hell but I have my own theory on what happened.

Re: The Game Chat Thread
I picked up Splinter Cell: Conviction for €20 today in Xtra-vision.
EDIT: Also rented Terminator Salvation aswell. It's ok so far. Going through it with the brother on co-op.
The only thing I like about it is that when you are in cover and there is multiply cover location near you can automatically pick one to go to.

I was going to get "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" until I heard that there was no online play which killed it for me.

Loving Splinter Cell Conviction so far.
Also Completed Castlevania: Harmony of Despair Today. The reason it too so long was that It is a bitch to find matches and when I do people start dropping out of the game.
Also when thing are going great the host usually pick Level 1.

Mass Effect 2 is coming to PS3 in January
http://kotaku.com/5614838/mass-effect-2-hits-the-playstation-3-in-january
No mention of the first though.Seems kinda odd that they would release 2 and not 1
Edit:Forgot that ME1 was published by Microsoft Game Studios so MS probably still own the rights to it.

I don't know if Portal 2 is going to be worth the full retail price since portal 1 was so short.

Portal 2 is going to be much longer than the first one(a full length game according to Valve themselves) and will also have a separate co-op mode
Release date is Feb 9th 2011

Fallout:New Vegas doesn't allow play to continue after the ending just like FO3 originally

Anyone else foresee a Broken Steel type solution to this?

Dick move but smart also.Gamers complain that you can't keep playing after the ending so they release a DLC pack that allows you to.Loads of people buy said DLC pack.Worked for Fallout 3,will probably work the same for New Vegas

I agree it's smart but I really don't like the idea of having to pay to continue after the main story. I hated in Fallout 3 and I will hate it in NV.

ok fallout has drawn me in once again. i was supposed to make dinner about 2 and a half hours ago.. but i just wanted to explore that building.. why did it have to have a basement and bunker aswell?! haha
Re: The Game Chat Thread
Played my first game in probably about 2 months the other day, Mario Galaxy 1. Was playing it before I went on holiday trying to finally get the 120 stars, left it on 114, now on 118. Just have Luigi's Purple Coins (which I just can't seem to do) and 1 more comet Star that doesn't seem to come up (think you might need to get the other 119 stars first).
Anyway, have been playing it because I bought SMG2 the day after launch and still have not got around to it. I just wanted to get SMG1 out of the way first because I knew I wouldn't go back to it otherwise. Didn't think it would take this long though...

I know. Have tried to follow vids on YouTube, but those people seem to have much better reflexes than me. So I tried to do it some other ways, but tend to die once I get to about 85 coins. The problem for me is I usually will make at least one mistake in most levels and then just recover. However, it's fairly hard to recover from a mistake in that level as it usually means instant death. I suppose I'll just have to keep chugging along and hope it works out in the end.

I was the same. I must have played it 100 times before I got the star.
I watch youtube video but they didn't work. I can't remember the way I did it but I think I started at the sides and worked my way to the middle until I reached the other side that brings me to the exit point.

Well everyone has their opinions and mine is that it's one of the worst games on the xbox. Haven't played many games?Gamerscore lol. Maybe i was expecting too much of it after a few people said it was like ME. Ahh well too late now.
Got Bioshock 2 Special Edition for 30 euro on Smyths. Pretty good deal i must say and only had to trade in Lego HP
