Re: So, how are you?
Well have college tomorrow after having a nice four day weekend after the snow. Looks like this is going to be a tough week, though next week looks fecking horrific with a load of assignments falling due, including my group project that I've been doing the lion's share of...
But at least tomorrow night is looking like it'll be good though, was able to pick up two tickets for Arcade Fire for €60 a few days ago, so looking forward to that

Re: So, how are you?
My toes are numb.
I have been inactive for aaaaages, for a number of reasons. Firstly,I've moved out of my parents house. Thank fuck. I'm living with friends in Wexford town, enjoying my renewed independence. What was intended to be a short stop back at my folks turned into a year and a half of dependence :-(. Glad I'm out again.
Secondly, the weather has been shit. No internet in the new place,so wiffy time is short.
I've been up all night researching North Korea for this project I need done. I've roughly half of it done (generous assesment). My time off in the snow was certainly not used wisely. Unless you count drinking and smoking copious amounts as wise, that is

The grass is always greener on the other side, dont let that fool you.
Stay in college its the only safe haven for now.
Jaysus, if you cant see that, then it must be alot different looking out than looking in.

I stuck it out until now and I will be considering doing programming or something similar in Dundalk or Sligo...It might...blah...I don't even want to talk about it

It's only sort of hitting me that it's Christmas in a week or so lol. I won't really be doing the Christmas thing though, so it sort of makes sense.

Happy birthday Phlegms, hopefully you'll be recovering from a massive post-birthday hangover by the time you read this...
Had my last day of college before Xmas today, though I'll probably have to go in on Monday and maybe Tuesday to finish off a group project report. But off on a class pub crawl in a minute or two, so I can forget about that for now...

I don't know if i want to get it on steam. It on the xbox for €10 (I know way more expensive) but I prefer using a controller then a keyboard for this type of game.
Tempted on the Deus ex collection because I have yet to play the second one and with the new one out next year this will give me the chance to play it. 2.5 hours to make a decision.

I'm using a 360 wired controller to play it on steam.

I just remembered that I have a wired Street fighter 4 fight pad that might work. If it does then I'll get it on steam.

Re: So, how are you?
Not sure if anyone has heard of this, meant to mention it here a few days ago. Anyway, a site called www.humblebundle.com is doing a deal called the Humble Indie Bundle #2 where you can get 5 indie games for PC/Mac for any price you choose to pay. You can also choose to have a portion (or all) of the money go to the charity Child's Play. There are sliders so you can choose what percentage goes to the developers/charity/the website. It's also redeemable on Steam. But if you pay more than the current average price of $7:40 (about €5:60), you also get the previous humble indie bundle #1 (only some of these games are redeemable on Steam, and they currently have a limited number of Steam keys for this pack).
Here's a list of games in the two bundles, some gems in there:
Humble Bundle #2
Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans
Humble Bundle #1
World of Goo
Aquaria
Gish
Lugaru HD
Penumbra
Samorost 2
Got the second bundle and was given the first a few hours ago because I spent more than the average. Also picked up Battlefield: BC2 and The Witcher on the Steam sale.
EDIT: Also have a look at this thread on Boards, tells you how to get a free copy of DEFCON: Everybody Dies

Think there's been a fairly similar rate of piracy this year sadly. The site operators were tweeting about it last week asking people for reasons why they were pirating it. Apparently the Turkish had a reason (national firewall prevents them from visiting the site...)dooley wrote:Could be worse. At least he donated something.Around 25% of the humble bundle downloads last year were illegal i.e thousands of people pirated something they could buy for 1 cent. Now that's douchebaggery at it's finest
