i dunno why youd be excited about it. if its anything like 10 - 2 and the past few games there will be a sillier story, more grindy class systems, its coming out so soon it seems more like an expansion and if they strip down the game play any more it'll be like watching a video. this doesnt interest me too much to be honest
I liked X-2, and according to Square, they are going to change the aspect of the game and that it is going to be alot better than Final Fantasy XIII.
I think they said on CVG that this was "supposed" to be the DLC that they were planning but decided to release it as a new game.
Are they pulling a Assassins Creed 2 and Brotherhood job?
Re: The Game Chat Thread
I didn't finish 13 because of how extremely boring it was so I don't think Ill be getting 13-2.

I am but not too sure if I want to get it day one.
Anyway picked up golden sun and last window for the DS.
My only complaint about golden sun is that it's on the easy side. Haven't encountered any real difficulty so far. As for Last window, well if you liked Hotel Dusk then you know you will like this.

Not too many gameplay details yet but here's an idea of what to expect
Not too many gameplay details yet but here's an idea of what to expect
Set in the sunny Royal Palms Resort on the island of Banoi in Papua New Guinea, it’s essentially Dead Rising meets Left 4 Dead with added suncream. There’s four player, drop in drop out co-op, and instead of guns (there are a few, but let’s not forget this is a holiday island, not Iraq) you’ll need to use the debris and discarded objects scattered around the beaches and pools to fend off the undead.
"Luckily the brutal open world game also packs some diet RPG elements so your character (there are four to choose from, including hip hop star Sam B) can build their skills as they slash and bash. The trailer might be more representative of the game’s mood than gameplay, but trust me, you’re absolutely right to be excited."

i got super meat boy like a week ago and i a+ed the first 4 worlds light , first 3 dark with all bandages so far.. after i unlocked the kid (a nightmare) my hand was in bits haha, i grip the pad too tight when stressed. by the end i was using an elastic band to hold down the sprint button so i could have somewheat better reaction speed on the jumps ha. When i stopped playing my hand hurt for a few hours, had to run it under cold water. pathetic really
i love it.
best platformer ive played in years, challenging too and i loved the chinematic after the second boss, was hilarious

Can't wait for it to arrive. Though my only problem is the online code because my brother will have to fork out 800msp just to play the online.

Finished Mafia 2 last night. Probably one of the better endings in a game. But at first I was like this ending sucks, then I was like no it's good, then I was like no it's crap but then I was like it's actually a very fitting end.

Completed Portal 2 a few days ago. All I can say is Wow.
It was brilliant. Has to be one of the best ending and so far it's my "Game of the Year". Stephen Merchant was excelliant as Wheatly. I could tell he enjoyed playing as him. Also I liked J.K Simmons proformance as Cave Johnson. Overall get this game. I have yet to play the co-op (have to find someone who hasn't played it yet).

I don't use it myself, but I think it just gives you discounts and "free" stuff from the playstation store and cloud saves.

Re: The Game Chat Thread
Now that certain PSN services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming, it seems a good time to confirm what is being offered as part of the Welcome Back programme.
Once we restore PlayStation Store, which will be just a little while longer, you will have the opportunity to claim your Welcome Back gifts. Please note that the Welcome Back programme is only available for those countries with access to PlayStation Store*.
All existing PlayStation Network members will be able to access the following from PlayStation Store*:
Two PS3 games from the following list:
* LittleBigPlanet
* Infamous*
* Wipeout HD/Fury
* Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
* Dead Nation*
For those with PSP accounts, you will also be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list:
* LittleBigPlanet PSP
* ModNation PSP
* Pursuit Force
* Killzone Liberation*
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PS Plus subscribers*
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will be given 60 days free subscription.
- For existing Music Unlimited subscribers, you will be given 30 days free subscription.
- We are working on a Welcome Back offer in PlayStation Home and will share that when it is confirmed.
I would like to thank all of the developers and publishers involved in this programme for their support in making this happen. We certainly couldn’t have done it without you.
You will be able to access this content once PlayStation Store comes back online and we are doing everything we can to make that happen as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support and keep checking back on the blog for more information.
1. For eligibility for the welcome back programme consumers must be an account holder on 20 April 2011. Specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live. All existing PSN registrants have 30 days from when the welcome back programme goes live to redeem their content.
2. For the German market, InFamous and Dead Nation will be replace with Super Stardust HD and Hustle Kings in the selection of PS3 games.
3. For the German market, Pursuit Force and Killzone Liberation will be replaced with Everybody’s Golf 2 and Buzz Junior Jungle Party in the selection of PSP games. Killzone Liberation will not offer online gameplay functionality.
4. Access to the 30 days free PS Plus subscription is only available for those countries where PS Plus is offered. You will have access to the PS Plus content planned for May for 30 days. Access to the free games and exclusive features finishes at the end of the 30-day subscription period. Anything you buy with exclusive discounts, dynamic themes and premium avatars are yours to keep forever.

I recently acquired a potentially broken PSP (for free). I was playing Dissidia 2 on it, and I couldn't move forward, so I assumed the analogue nub was broken, but then it worked playing Katamari...
Are there any good games that use the don't use the nub that I can keep an eye out for?

Going to buy a 3ds next month when Ocarina of Time is released. Hoping there is a special bundle 3ds for it.
Is there another game on the 3ds worth getting. Not going to get SSFIV since I already have it on the 360.
EDIT: Can you play multiplayer games with the 3ds if my friends are using the DS when playing a ds game e.g Mario Kart.

Loco roco was kinda cool and I think the only buttons used are L and R.

ive been playing darksiders today, its pretty fun, i heard so many bad things about it. well not so much bad things but people going on about how ok it was and what its like and so on. ive found it fun so far, i like the voice acting the most. not so much the script, but the quality of the voice acting. t doesnt seem as hammy as most. it plays well enough. i didnt come across the issues they were on about for 360 in gameplay in big battles. or atleast havent yet. i dunno. its been good fun so far. definitly worth the ten euro i spent on it

Looks like there might be an Xbox360 version of The Witcher 2 on the way
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-25-esrb-outs-witcher-2-on-xbox-360
Would definitely be interested in this if it's true.Is it necessary to have played the first game though or could you pick up the story easily enough?

Just be prepared for the first few hours to kinda suck. It took me almost a year to finish it. Kept coming back to it for bits at a time. The story is definitely the stronger point. Gameplay is a bit meh.

The Witcher is €16 on steam by the way.

I don't use Steam so if I do buy it it'll be on disc.Haven't decided yet.Might wait until E3 and see what they announce.If it's something like ME2 for PS3 that explains the story of the first one then I mightn't bother buying the first game.Not much of a PC gamer tbh
Edit:Tried the demo for The Witcher.Runs like shit on my PC even with all the lowest settings enabled.Looks like I won't be getting it after all
